I'm a fan (and you should be too) because the way Gavin is putting his emotions into the lyrics is amazing. It doesn't necessarily have to be a heartbroken lyrics, it could be anything, the emotions are just right there. The feeling I get the most by listening to Gavin's music is happiness. There's this graceful attitude but still the lyrics is very meaningful. He gives a message that says you don't have to be anyone but yourself, and you shouldn't. Believe in yourself and go for it.

Not only are just the lyrics and the message great, but also the character. Gavin himself seems to be a really nice guy and very down to earth and that sort of thing. But the character he puts into his music is not the real Gavin. In a good way that is. There are two different Gavins in this situation. Music-Gavin puts his entire heart into the music and and deals with different kinds of problems. But the Regular-Gavin proves that he's just a normal guy doing what he loves to do.

I love Gavin DeGraw because he's not like every other singer, he's different. His music makes me happy and I don't think I'm the only one getting that feeling. Everybody should love him because he is not trying to be somebody else, he is Gavin DeGraw and that's the one we all love.
