From the start...

So my friend and I got there early so we could grab lunch and then head over to Bonefish Grill. When we got there the guys were hanging out by the bus, and Gavin went in to do an interview. The interview took a really really long time...so I can't wait to see all that he had to say! The fan club people were there...then some people that won off gavindegraw.com...some people who won from Bonefish Grill...and then workers and family members of Ovation TV and Bonefish Grill. Not sure how many people...but it was enough to fill the room.

I probably shouldn't share this next part...but it gave everyone a good laugh... When we walked in from outside it was soooo dark in the room, and my eyes couldn't adjust. So I'm just walking along and trip over some wires on the ground right in front of Gavin and some other guy. Yeah pretty embarassing!

The room was really cool looking...very small and intimate. They had chairs set up in rows and a few booths along the side. The stage was super small, but fit all 5 guys. I sat in the front row...and was so close to the stage that I couldn't spread my legs all the way out.

So bascially the one of the set guys came out and told us to sing, clap, dance...do whatever you would do at a normal concert. He also said that Gavin would sing 6 songs...they would take a break and move cameras...and then Gavin would come back on and sing the same 6 songs again...but more focus would be on capturing the audience.

After "Young Love" in the first set, one of the set guys came on and told Gavin that they needed him to do it again because of lighting. Gavin asked which part and the guy said the whole thing. So Gavin had to sing the song again. Obviously you all know that he doesn't do Young Love on the piano so there is literally nothing between me and the man himself while he's singing. It took all I had to keep myself from grabbing him!! But I could just imagine...

"CUT!!! Girl in the front row...keep your hands out of the shot"

Gavin came out after and signed and took pictures. It was an amazing day I will never forget. I feel sooooo lucky to have been apart of it. Can't wait for it to air so you can all see!!

The show "Notes From The Road" is supposed to air on Ovation TV on August 7th. I know its channel 182 in the Chicagoland area...

The show was amazing. I can't wait to see it aired on Ovation TV. I had a great time. He asked if anyone in the audience if the had ever been jealous and for some reason I was the only one who raised my hand. For the rest of the show he called me "the jealous girl" I was nice to be recognized by Gavin Degraw, even though I am sure it happens to other people often. Thank you Bill from Bonefish Grill for making it happen for me!!!!

I have to say that Gavin is such a gentleman and genuinely sweet person. Very impressive......what a nice guy............makes me want to quit my job and play piano for a living!
