Yesterday my girlfriend and me were among the crowd at Train in Aarhus. And I got to say - what a fantastic concert it was. We fully enjoyed it
This was my third concert with Gavin Degraw and my girlfriends first. I saw Gavin the two times he played at Skanderborg Festival, which was amacing (I got the chance to meet him both times, which was unforgetable), but I have to say, that yesterday was something different. The atmosphere at was great and the concert even better. I really got the feeling that Gavin loved playing for us. It was his place from the minute he entered the scene. Further more the set-list was great. He played every number we had hoped for.
A couple of things, I have to say, was quite frustrating:
First of all, the warmup-guy. He was really good, but I think it was a shame, that nobody introduced him. I got the feeling i the crowd, that nobody knew he was coming, so in the future it would be nice, if he was introduced.
Second of all, their were the technical problems with Gavin's guitarplayer, which was very frustrating among the crowd. It took way too long to fix and furthermore we got no information at all. If just one person could go on stage and tell us, what was wrong, the crowd would have shown fare more patience.
But nothing of this can ruin the concert. It was a fantastic evening in Aarhus and I really really hope that Gavin and his band will come back and visit us again.
Maybe in Aarhus, maybe at Skanderborg Festival. I cross my fingers.
Thanks for everything Gavin. I wish you the best for you and your career!!!
Best regards Daniel Hübner Kjøller

I couldn't agree with you more, Daniel.
I didn't notice that nobody introduced Jack cause I was at the meet & greet at the time, but you're right. Someone definitely should have introduced him.
I talked to the two technicians after the show and they told me what happened: Everything had been fine during the sound check, but right before the show, the converter that converts the European voltage to the American one blew up and it fried most of the electrical stuff in the pedals. That's what they were working on. It couldn't be fixed though and they had to bring in battery powered pedals instead.
I guess they were pretty much panicking on stage, but yeah they should have let us know what was going on...
The concert has still fantastic though. I got a perfect spot in front row and I was so incredibly lucky that Gavin held my hand and sang "Young Love" right to me! <3 <3 <3
