Gavin and Stash

Just a sunny Sunday afternoon in Amsterdam.

Imagine: You’re the band Stash from Oss/Veghel and you win The Clash Hitlijst Award 2008/2009, with the cover “Brazen” (Skunk Anansie). As a reward you may perform at the "Leidseplein LIVE 2009" in Amsterdam.

This is what happens:

As the band plays “I Don’t Want To Be”, world singer Gaby Dumas doesn't believe her eyes. In the crowd she thinks to see Gavin DeGraw himself, obviously enjoying the band.

Gaby appears to be right…it’s Gavin DeGraw and his older brother Joey, because at the end of the song Joey shouts into the audience,

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE MASTER HIMSELF IS IN THE HOUSE…GAVIN DEGRAW"

Luc de Kort (the bands guitarist) asks Gavin on stage, what creates excitement within both band and crowd. The band invites Gavin to sing a song with them, he accepts straight away. It’s “One” by U2. The result is this splashing duet.
