This album gives me chills. This album makes my toes curl. This album makes me want to cry and it makes me want to sing. Sometimes I do. It's beautifully sung and performed. "Young love" is simply genious. Listening to it is like reading a love story that stretches far beyond the 3 something minutes that the song is, yet it captures everything about it.
The lyrics to several of the songs are my everyday thoughts. I can't figure anything else but you having been through a lot in order to be able to sing about love and life so earnestly and geniously. "Untamed", "Cheated on Me", "We Belong Together", "Medicate the Kids", "She Hold a Key", "Next to Me", "Relative", "Cop Stop", "Let it Go"... I could listen to them forever.

Thank you, this album is one of my favorites among every album I have ever loved.

Come back to Norway, please.

Your music is magic and I would love to see you live. I don't think I could ever forgive myself for missing your concerts in Norway if you never come back, but believe me it was not by choice. It really really really was not by choice. Haa.

I'm absolutely in love with both Gavin's albums but this one seems to "speak" to me more. Songs like Young Love and She Holds A Key just make you want to sit down and cry. While others like Cop Stop and Medicate the Kids make you want to get up and dance!!! I pretty much listen to this CD everyday and I switch between the 2 since both have a way of making you feel different emotions. I am so excited about the new CD and I'm counting down the days until it comes out. I can't wait to see Gavin at The National in April either!!!!

I love Gavins Lyrics but these are exceptional. Simple and truthful. This one really comes from the heart. I think if i found the one person I wanted to be with for life, I would play them this song. I wouldnt have to say another thing, its perfrect. Its not over the top with 'forevers' and ridiculous lines of Lost loves. Its down to earth, the way real love is.

I love this CD! I got it the day it came out and I'm alternating between this cd and live in soho. I love the song "young love". I just saw Gavin in Lancaster, PA and I admit it, I cried during young love. i just love how all the songs are from the heart. You can feel that he pours his heart into ever note of music. You can tell he has a passion for what he does. And I loved at the concent he mixes in humor, which brought me in! Eventhough on some of the songs, I think I was the only one old enough to remember them at age 35!! I have bought this CD for a few of my friends for Christmas to get them hooked too. Thank you Gavin for putting out such a heart felt cd!!

Your voice is amazing!

I bought the cd and loved it so much, I listened to it on constant repeat... which sadly broke my laptop. Still listening to it nonstop! Every song made the cd worth the money. Not a single rotten egg on it.

It´s so amazing how u´r lyrics can touch me so much. I mean nearly every song. It feels like
u´r songs are telling aloud what i´ve been thinking but i just can´t put my thoughts together. I just check´d some of u´r interview and u said something like that u hope people could get "strenght" from u´r music like it helps u. Well, I bought the CD on a whim. I'd never heard of Gavin Degraw. I was actually looking for something else when I noticed it. Looked it over and put in the car cd player in the parking lot. Wow! Talk about instant karma. It was cathartic on my heart. The words were dead on for me. When I found out you were coming to town, had to go see you. I think I might of been the oldest person in the crowd. But, still managed to get close to the stage.
Great great soul moving music, and fun too! Thanks for the music and thanks for just giving us you. What a great gift we have received in the form of Gavin.

It's heeeere!!

I love how Gavin stepped out of his comfort zone on some of the songs and gave the album a much more "rock"y feel esp. on songs like "fell in love with a girl" and "medicate the kids" (that's one to rock out to when you're with friends OR alone... anytime is a good time for that one). I also liked the way he played with his lyrics again, giving some of the songs a sarcastic (!) but meaningful atmosphere. And ppl said it couldn't be done...pehh.. what do they know eh? =)

As I said on my website (http://www.last.fm/user/emellow) this album is perfect for when you're driving down a busy road or even if you're on a road trip with nothing but cows and trees to keep you occupied =)

Good one G! keep it up.. and hopefully I'll be able to see ya play (that is if (a) I find enough cash to come to another country or (b) you come to Istanbul!)
