No entiendo cómo a estas alturas de la vida y en el siglo en el que estamos pueden ocurrir estas cosas y otras muchas... no lo entiendo.

I think everyone has already said everything that we're all feeling but just wanted to say you're in a lot of people's thoughts and prayers and we're all hoping for a very speedy recovery for you. No one deserves to have this happen to them but you are one of the nicest, most giving, most genunine people I've had the pleasure of meeting and it breaks my heart for you to have had to go through this. I'm so sorry for that horrible situation that you had to endure. No one should ever have to go through that. You are a strong, beautiful soul and I know that you will recover in no time. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers - I pray you will heal fully and quickly, I pray that your family will stay by your side while you recover, I pray that this event becomes but a speed bump in your life. All of your fans have tremendous love for you. We are here for you, supporting and encouraging you. And we anxiously await your return to good health - so we can see that remarkable smile of yours again. You are an incredible person, Gavin, with a huge heart - and a personality that could make Ebenezer Scrooge smile.

Also, I pray that the authorities can some how catch the 'thugs' responsible for doing this to you, and they are made to pay the consequences for their horrid actions. I am livid that these people could do something so terrible, and it's unfathomable that they could get away with it.

I could not believe it, when I read the sad news today! My heart ached!
You did not deserve this and I feel so sad for you!
It is beyond me, why this had to happen to the most generous and considerate man, who has moved many people in so many ways through his music in so many years.

There's no doubt in my mind, that you'll come back even stronger. Because you're a fighter!

I know how it feels to be mugged on the street. It happened to me many years ago and I also had some injuries too. Your physical injuries will heal quickly. Emotionally, it is going to take some time. So, give yourself a break and know that you are a strong man. Five against one (or whatever it was) is not a fair fight. They may have knocked you to the ground, but your attackers have not gotten the best of you. Give yourself time to heal and know that you are not alone. You will rise above this. I am sure of it.
