We've all waited long for some new Gavin music, but this was definitely worth waiting for! Hope the rest of the new album is going to be just as good. Great new song, just got it on itunes as well. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I was wondering why it was taking so long for the next album to come out, and now I am starting to see why, so far it's definately worth the wait.
Just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I love the new single. I was singing along after the first listen (always a good thing), and my 8- and 6- year old nephew and niece said "Play It Again Kel!"
Can't wait to hear the album. Best wishes to you and your team on the new release and upcoming tour.
...Because this acoustic version is far superior to the single. I'm worried Gavin! I hope you're not falling into the same trap as another one of my favs Van Hunt and trying to polish your sound too much. The thing I loved most about the songs on Chariot (non-stripped) is that they are rough around the edges and that gives them so much extra personality. The new single is good but IMHO it sounds way over-processed, the guitar effect sounds dated, there are too many layers (Is there a Sitar in there somewhere?) and the nuances of your vocal are buried in too much Autotune. Overall it's forgettable, which hurts me to admit, but as they say... "honesty is the best policy"
Good luck with the current tour... hurry up and schedule more dates and cities!

I've searched everywhere I could for every live, acoustic, and/or unreleased song I could find! I've been waiting PATIENTLY for the sophmore album release and I can say I'm SO looking forward to hearing the next stage of Mr. Gavin DeGraw's music evolution! One more thing, DUDE, I had never heard of Leonord Cohen's Hallelujah until I heard your version and let me just say........I should have never heard your's and then his. What you did with that song and where you took it BLOWS ME AWAY! So talented!
