Message from Gavin About Haiti
As you all know, Haiti has just been hit with a catastrophic natural disaster. The recent earthquake has killed tens of thousands of people already, and I’m sure that death toll is going to continue to rise. I believe it is our duty as Americans to do whatever we can to help these people and this country. I am so lucky to have what I believe to be the greatest and most giving fans in the world. For this reason, I come to you all again, asking you do whatever you can in terms of a donation.
I am once again teaming up with my friends at the United Nations Foundation (who I work with on the Nothing But Nets campaign), to help with the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). Your generous donations will help deliver urgent medical care, food, and water to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Because thousands of the United Nations staff are already on the ground in Haiti, your donation will get to work ASAP.
Thank you so much for being so receptive to all of the incredible amount of needs that exist in the world. Some may seem more urgent than others, but all of them are important. I’m sorry if it sounds as if I am bombarding you with works of charity, but it’s only with humanity in mind that we present the opportunity to help where you can.

The images of the devastating earthquake in Haiti are heart breaking. These first 48 hours are critical to relief efforts.
While they have already lost many friends and colleagues, the UN will stay on the front lines of the relief effort during this critical period.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation right now to the UN Foundation for the UN’s Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)
The CERF provides immediate assistance during crisis and coordinates relief efforts on the ground. The time between an appeal for assistance and disbursement can be long. This delay costs lives. The CERF fulfills a critical gap, allocating funds within hours of an emergency -- coordinating aid, reducing gaps and overlaps, and avoiding wasted resources.
Long after the story fades from the headlines, the UN and the UN Foundation will still be there. Please be there with us by making a donation.
A friend of mine died, she was going to adopt a little boy there together with her husband. They were in their hotel when it happened, had no chance of getting out, it's so incredibly sad.
I've already transferred half of my bank account to charity, but it still feels like you can't really do something!!
Thank you, Gavin for always keeping me up on what you are doing and how we, as your fans, can help. My check is literally in the mail. I hope it arrives in time to save more lives. This tragedy only makes me appreciate my life more. My heart goes out to all in the country of Haiti.
Love you, Gavin.
Joni

Thanx.
Well, I think many are extending their help and doing their best to keep up and put their most efforts to help those who are victims of such disaster. But still, many are still in need of help and services because as we can see on different angles of news, there are still lots of people who are in agony and impoverishment. We are encouraging to the people who are willing to donate and give some reliefs to help those victims ion Haiti. Thank you sharing for this message in order to spread the news, in so we can help those who are in Haiti. On the other hand, here's another interesting news, You know, if NBC are cynical and disloyal enough to shaft an institution like The Tonight Show in favor of that chin with bad jokes (Jay Leno), then they don't deserve to hang on to Conan O'Brien. Remember – he had some very successful tenures with Saturday Night Live, the Simpsons, and the Harvard Lampoon. (You do have to go to Harvard to write for the Harvard Lampoon.) It's not like he's going to need payday loans anytime soon. If he's going to get a figurative cactus from a network he's been so loyal to, why not jump ship and go where his talent would be appreciated?
