I was lucky enough to be one of the soundcheck winners, so I was really excited to go. When we got there, Gavin said that he wasn't feeling well, and he needed to save his voice. We got to hear him play George Jones "Bartender Blues" and "Chariot". George Jones' song was absolutely beautiful. Afterwards, we got to talk to him for a few minutes, and he really is a nice guy.
Onto the show... He opened up with "I Don't Want to Be" and the crowd went crazy! I was really worried about his voice, but he sounded amazing. I love love love love love his new stuff, especially "Cheated on Me" and "Untamed". "Cop Stop" and "Relative" have never sounded better.
Overall, if you can get to a show, go. You won't be disappointed. =)
