Get well soon, Gavin. I too won the soundcheck contest and I just got a call that the soundcheck party and show are cancelled. I appreciate the call very much -- I was just leaving to head to Hollywood.
Gavin, if you're reading this, we're sad that you aren't playing tonight, but we understand you're probably more bummed than all of us for having to cancel. We wish you a speedy recovery and hope you reschedule soon.

I was totally bummed, too. I actually got an email from Ticketmaster....so that saved a useless trip. I just bought tickets to see him in Ventura tomorrow....hopefully he'll be back in action.

Yes, I was very disappointed also. I saw on his website that the SF show was cancelled the night before so all day I tried to call the Knitting Factory to confirm that the show was on. Finally, at about 3:00pm, I got through and they said the show was still on. I had a looooonnnggg drive (2 hours) to get to Hollywood and, of course, when I got there, the show was cancelled. I was more upset at the Knitting factory than anything. Never been there before but I made a 4 hour round trip to eat Del Taco, hired a babysitter too. Expensive night out for some Del Taco. Oh well, hopefully we'll get refunds.

My daughters, husband and I made the 2 hour+ journey to LA to find the sign on the Kinitting Factory window "GAVIN DEGRAW CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS" !!!!! Bummer!! We just stood there, looked at each other, and then we started cracking up! My 12 yr old said "maybe we are on PUNK'D" We could only hope! But nope, it was no joke!! LOL We did have a great time anyway in Hollywood. You're never bored there! Plus....we did have fun singing the Chariot CD on the way there and back!!!
FEEL BETTER GAVIN !!! Can't wait for the new CD !!!
