Knitting Factory Show Los Angeles Question

Average: 5 (1 vote)

Just curious if anyone knows ...

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Knitting Factory show in Los Angeles through the pre-sale but I've never been there before.

My tickets are General Admission but I see "scalpers" selling "floor" general admission tickets.

Are all the tickets General admission or is there really a floor ticket?

How big is this place?

I was very surprised to see him performing somewhere other than at a large venue. He could easily sell out the Hollywood Bowl or the Staples Center (in my opinion). People don't know what they're missing out on. He's got one of the best voices and he's a great performer.

My favorite song "Sometimes you need a free drinks to fall in love".

BTW, I first saw Gavin opening for Sheryl Crow at the Hollywood Bowl. He was better than she was! In fact, when I got wind that he would be signing autographs, I left the "real" concert to stand in line for an autograph. I've been waiting for him to tour forever! Can' wait for the new CD either!

I am from Austin, TX but I am going to be in LA the week of the show at KF. If anyone knows how I could get 2 tickets let me know!

It appears to be open- I checked the website.. I would be prepared to stand like we did at the Avalon... He packed them in pretty well at the Avalon and it seems like the same type of venue... I took a ton of pictures at the Avalon (see photobucket site below) and it was fine but they don't allow video unless it's from your camera... Maybe they have changed things? I am excited!! I can't wait! yahoo!!! I love the song a few drinks to fall in love as well! You have great taste!

So it's all general admission then. About how many people can fit in the place? The show is sold out. Just wondering, seeing as it's standing room, how much of a sardine I'll feel like. Also, do they let you bring camera's? On their website they say you can take still photography but they have to give you a "photo pass"..... huh?

The KF has a wide open space in front of the stage, there are no seats on the floor but I believe there are tables and chairs upstairs -- not sure if those are reserved though.
Hope that helps, let me know if you need any other info. I'd recommend parking at Hollywood and Highland, taking a look around and maybe getting dinner there, then you could easily walk to the Knitting Factory from there.
See you at the show!
