I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...first and foremost the MUSIC! If you have been lucky enough to catch a live show, or even see footage on one online - there aren't many people out there who can perform with that much heart, soul, and talent as Gavin does on stage. Vocally he challenges himself with an awesome range, plays his heart out whether strumming the guitar or tickling the ivories, and has fun! You can't help but enjoy the show!

I became a fan back in 2003 with his first album (streetteam member since fall '03...wow that was awhile ago!) when I was very sick. His music, the honesty and beauty and fun, was cathartic to a lot of what I had gone through so far in life. It allowed me to just be content for however long the album played. Sounds simple and cheesy - but sometimes when you are having a hard day - no matter the severity of the cause - that is what you need.

On a personal level I really respect what he strives to do for charities - especially Musicians on Call. Having spent time in hospitals, like far too many, and been with others in hospitals - those places can drain the life outta ya! It is great that he tries to do whatever he can to break the monotany of life for some of those people.

So why am I a fan - because he is an incredibley gifted musician, that allows me to enjoy music (whether driving in my car or rocking out in the audience) and I feel good about supporting someone who does good things for others~
