I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

Gavin is the real deal! I have been a GAVIN DEGRAW fan for a very long time. Back when he was playing the clubs in NYC. I was on ebay trying to get my hands on any live recording there was of him out there before Chariot came along! And then Chariot came along and I could not listen to the stripped album enough! AND I have never gotten tired of it...which I usually do with a lot of new music. I LOVE LOVE that recording! I hope Gavin does a stripped version of his new album because I truly believe he is at his best when it is raw like that. That is why he is so much fun to listen to live - A true talent!

I love that Gavin's influences from music come from the same musicians I grew up listening to.....Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, Sam Cooke, etc... I feel like his heart is in the right place and he truly ADORES music! I love to hear him talk about the industry and how he never wants to get to that place where it is NOT about the music. I love to hear and see him play with his brother Joey and how he talks about his mom and dad with so much adoration and respect! He is just THE REAL DEAL!

I wish him all the best with his new CD and I can't wait to hear it! I am one of the fortunate ones to get tickets to the Minneapolis show and cannot wait to see him perform live once again. I also entered the Soundcheck Contest and would be so AMAZED and HONORED if I got to actually meet him one on one...A girl can dream...right?!!!
