There are alot of reasons that I happen to be a Gavin Degraw fan. First and foremost is the fact that he has an incredible, raw talent that is impossible to ignore. Someone who writes their own music is someone who wants to share how they view life and how they feel with others. Gavins' music is all an expression of life and reality, and somehow everything he sings about touches me on a personal level. I love every one of his songs and the "Stripped" album nearly brought me to tears when I first turned it on. His voice is so unique and different from everyone elses. He writes music that has a little bit of something (or alot of everything in my case) for everyone.
Another reason that I am a fan is the live show.How I see it: He writes the music, and then He gets on the stage and brings it all to life. I had been to many concerts before, but none of them even come close to Gavin. He is so completely captivating that you stand there and smile, singing along and not being able to look away for a second. I brought along a camera with me and didn't use it once because I didn't want to miss a minute digging around in my purse for it.
Yet another reason is the fact that he is so much fun. That is the kind of thing that stands out to me. Someone who genuinely cares about the people who support him. I really think that Gavin is that someone. His is the only show that I have ever been to where I truely felt that the person on the stage was having as much of a good time as I was. He treats his fans like we are his friends and that shows great character in him. The fact that fame doesn't seem to have gone to his head is another big part of his appeal. The best way for me to put it is that Gavin is a sparkling diamond in the rough, and I feel lucky that he decided to share his gifts with us.
